A folded yellow legal sheet has hung on my office walls for more than ten years.  On it is a handwritten note, scribbled by my buddy Doug… and it’s a motto that I’ve come to live by:

Relentlessly pursue your reality

It may not always feel like it, but your reality is only yours to create.

A wise person once pointed out to me the sheer number of miracles that had to happen to lead me to this moment in time.   Think about it.  All the choices, all the decisions have led you RIGHT HERE.

Isn’t that cool?  Amazing?

But it can be easy to overlook that.  To dismiss how powerful we really are.

If you really want something in your life, you have to be relentless in your pursuit of it.

You see, one of the most important things we can do to remain relentless is to surround ourselves with people who truly believe in us.

Surround ourselves with people who support the reality we want to create.  

Believe it or not, that’s actually the easy part.

The hard part? If we really want to relentlessly pursue our reality, it becomes our OBLIGATION to eliminate those who do not support us.

As Steve Jobs said in a 2005 commencement speech, “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

You are worthy of a business that supports every ounce of you.
