3 Key Tips for Getting Out of an Agency Rut

Do you ever feel like you’re repeating the same day over and over again?

You’ve been working for weeks, months, or years but you’re not seeing positive changes?

You’re not alone. We all get trapped by our routines and as a result, we get stuck with the same old results.

I’m going to share with you the key shifts anyone can make if they’re feeling stuck.

One of my favorite movies is Groundhog's Day with Bill Murray.

His character Phil Connors repeats the same day over and over until he learns valuable lessons and ultimately achieves all of his dreams.

How do you know if your agency is stuck in a loop just like Phil was?  Well, if you look back 6 months, how different is your agency?

Are you facing the same issues or struggles today as you were back then?

Are you suffering from a lack of leads, too much work, or not enough cash flow?

Here are my keys for getting out of these kinds of loops…

#1 Decide What You Want

Those that are stuck in loops find themselves in this position because they don’t have a clear idea about what their business or life could look like.  We are creatures of habit and tend to accept results that are mediocre and predictable over exceptional and unpredictable.

In other words, we love to stay in our comfort zones and don’t strive to change things for the better.  I’ve found that the best way to step out of your comfort zone is to first paint a picture of what else could be possible.

Decide what you want, what it looks like, and how much of it you want. This is the first step to breaking the loop.

#2 Change Who You Spend Time With

Our habits aren’t just the things we do, but also who we spend our time with.  It’s the friends we have, the news we watch, and the books we read.

As Jim Rohn says, “You're the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

If you want to break the loop you’re in and achieve great results, invite new people into your life that inspire you and allow everyone else to leave.

#3 Create A System for Accountability

Most people don’t achieve the things they say they want.  They set goals and create grand visions, but fail when it comes to taking action.

Our habits are powerful and we have to recognize that without accountability, we’ll fall into the same patterns.

Willpower only lasts so long. That’s why you have to develop a system to remain accountable. We didn’t send a man to the moon without a team, so why would you try to build a business without support?

To break the loops that keep us stuck, I’ve launched a 5-Day challenge for agencies. During the challenge, you’ll decide what you want, spend time with me and other agencies and leave with an accountability plan.

Join us at agencywarplan.com. The challenge is starting and you can see all the details at agencywarplan.com.
