Your beliefs shape what you sell.
I was working with a member of our community recently and when I looked across their service list, I noticed that NONE of their clients were enrolled in PPC services.
I found it odd, because they had plenty of clients.
(Surely, at least one would have opted into this service.)
I also looked at their proposal and PPC was one of the services being offered.
Yet, NONE of their clients were enrolled in that service.
Why?
So I started digging into it.
Eventually the student said…
“I don’t click on ads, I just scroll past them.”
Aha!
This was why none of their clients were benefiting from PPC.
The agency owner’s own beliefs about paid advertising on Google were leading their clients away from this service. (Even though it was one of the options they presented!)
They weren't selling PPC services because they believed that most people “know they are ads” and scroll past them.”
That’s what they believe, but is it true?
I’ll let you debate that in the comments because what’s more important is seeing how our beliefs influence what you sell.
Bottom line:
If you don’t believe in what you are selling, you probably won't sell it.
What are you not selling enough of?
Have you ever considered that it might be because you need to increase your belief in it?
If you’re curious about how your own beliefs about your services may be preventing you from selling your services in the first place, we'd love to help.
